Mark J. Spinello
President

Mark Spinello is Chief Executive Officer of The Legend Group of Companies, including Legend Advisory Corporation where he leads the firm's strategic direction. Under his direction, the firm has grown from a small regional firm to one with a nationwide presence.

He has played a critical role in the company's groundbreaking use of Artificial Intelligence in worldwide investment strategy, helping to oversee its research, development and implementation. Mr. Spinello brings over 25 years in the fund management and securities business to Legend Advisory Corporation.

Prior to joining Legend in 1989, Mr. Spinello co-founded Mackenzie Investment Management Inc. Mackenzie was the U.S.-based investment management subsidiary of Mackenzie Financial Corporation, one of the largest mutual fund companies in Canada. Mr. Spinello served as an Executive Vice President and General Counsel to Mackenzie Investment Management, headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, for four years. He also served as Secretary and Vice President of the 12 funds offered in the U.S. by Mackenzie Investment Management, Inc.

Before that, Mr. Spinello was Director and Secretary of ABT Financial Services, Inc., and ABT Administrative Services, Inc. During this time, Mr. Spinello also served as Business Manager and Underwriter/Distributor for the ABT family of mutual funds.

Previously, Mr. Spinello was Director of Financial Planning for American Birthright Trust Management, Inc., a mutual fund company and broker/dealer based in Palm Beach, Florida where he worked for two years. In 1984, American Birthright Trust's registered investment advisor was purchased by First National Bank in Palm Beach, representing the first time in the U.S. that a bank acted as an investment advisor to registered investment companies.

Mr. Spinello received his Juris Doctorate from the Western New England College, School of Law in Springfield, MA in 1980. He received a B.S. in Management Science from the University of New Haven in 1977. Mr. Spinello is a member of the Florida Bar.
